Solution

ORing assisted a thermal power plant in Guangzhou, south China area to deploy its network on the plant floor in early 2010. The network system adopts ORing’s RES-3242GC-E industrial managed Ethernet switch and IGS-3044GP , RGS-7244GP full gigabit managed switch products to meet the harsh industrial environment and long transmission distance requirements of the thermal power plant.

RES-3242GC-E is an enhanced version of RES-3242GC, which is a managed redundant ring Ethernet switch with 24x10/100TX & 2x1000 SFP COMBO ports (Enhanced edition). With completely support of ORing's patent Ethernet redundancy protocol, O-Ring (recovery time < 10ms over 250 units of connection), and MSTP/RSTP/STP (IEEE 802.1s/w/D) hence it can surely protect the mission-critical applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions with its fast recovery technologies.

Being an enhanced edition, RES-3242GC-E is a wide temperature range model that supports extend operating temperature from -40°C to 70°C. Moreover, it also supports one full-range AC and dual DC power inputs from +12~48 VDC or -12~-48 VDC with one additional relay output is provided for system alarm warning.

IGS-3044GP series are managed redundant ring Ethernet switches with 4x10/100/1000TX and 4x1000BaseX SFP ports, and is one of the best choices for full gigabit Ethernet application. IGS-3044GP supports new DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) function, which can monitor instantly the status of electronic voltage, current and temperature. RGS-7244GP is an industrial 28-port rack mount managed Gigabit switch features 24x10/100/1000 Base-T(X) and 4x 1000Base-X, SFP socket.
