Solution

The network system of the PV plant in Germany consists of ORing's lite-managed an unmanaged Ethernet switch products: IES-2042FX and IES-1042 FX. ORing's IES-2042FX series is a lite-managed Redundant Ring Ethernet switch with 4x10/100TX and 2x100Base-FX ports. With complete support of Ethernet Redundancy protocol, ORing's patent O-Ring (recovery time < 10ms over 250 units of connection) and RSTP/STP (IEEE 802.1w/D) technologies can protect the PV plant’s mission-critical applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions with its fast recovery technology.

As for IES-1042 FX series, it is an unmanaged Ethernet switch with 4 x 10/100Base-T(X) and 100Base-FX ports. IES-1042FX series support redundant power input, configurable relay output alarm and rigid IP-30 housing. In addition, both IES-2042FX and IES-1042 FX feature wide operating temperature range from -40 to 70°C, and can satisfy the harsh operating environment of the PV plant. Hence, the switches are most reliable choices for cost-effective and easy managed Fiber Ethernet application.

Apart from ORing's Internet Ethernet Switch (IES) series products, the network also adopts ORing’s media converter IMC-1021FX. IMC-1021FX series provides media conversion between 10/100BaseT(X) and 100BaseFx, and is rigid IP-30 housing design and supporting an extended operating temperature (T models) of -40 to 70°C. Thus, IMC-1021FX is a reliable media converter solution and can satisfy most demanding operating environment in a PV plant.
